initially whole bengal was destined to go to east pakistan, and whole punjab too. There is a town next to barmer in Rajasthan which had 85% hindu population and would have made it to India provided there was no connivance of Muslim League with Streaks.
It was due to Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee that we can see West Bengal and East Punjab in India. In case of Punjab, Sir choote ram's efforts againts M.A.Jinnah brought fruits.
